Job work billing software for textile businesses
Embroidery, printing, stitching and dyeing are done outside, on your goods. The goods leave the godown but are not sold, and GST lets them stay out only for a limited time. The job worker's bill carries GST and often TDS. GintiDesk keeps the issue, the return and the charge on one trail.
Job Work Issue
The issue names the job worker, the challan, the work's ledger and HSN or SAC, and per item the design, pieces, meters and rate. Nothing is taxed on the issue; the goods show as at job worker in your stock.
Job Work Receipt and Return
On the receipt, F1 lists the lots still pending with that job worker. Per line you type the pieces received, the cut, the rate and Rate On; shortage is shown, and anything that came back unprocessed is taken off it. A Job Work Return takes goods back unworked. The charge is booked with GST, TDS and round off at the foot.
What is still out
- Job Work Report: issued, received and pending, by party or item.
- Total Mill & Jobwork: both sides of the work in one view.
- Wastage Analysis: issued against received, with wastage %.
- E-Way Bill: goods going to the mill or job worker are listed with the invoices.
Questions
Is GST charged on the goods I send for job work?
No. The issue moves your own goods and is not a sale. The GST is on the job worker's charge, booked on the receipt.
Can I see what a job worker still holds?
Yes. The Job Work Report shows what was issued, what came back and what is pending, party by party.
Is TDS deducted on the job worker's bill?
If the job worker's master has a TDS section, yes, and it starts once the year's bills cross that section's limit.
